Graduate Assistant 

We are no longer accepting applications for graduate assistants.  We will begin reviewing applications for the 2026-2027 academic year in February, 2026.

New Student & Family Programs is committed to providing services for new Âé¶¹´«Ã½ and their families. Eastern Illinois University views orientations as an ongoing and multi-faceted transition process, which involves academic, intellectual, civic, and personal development. New Student & Family Programs strives to provide supportive programs and leadership opportunities for all Âé¶¹´«Ã½.

NSFP Position: Graduate Assistant

This position is a 12 month contract and is offered as a two-year assistantship. Please note: you must be in Charleston and able to start on July 1, as this is the first day of the contract.

Description:

Coordinate the orientation, transition and retention programming for nearly 1,000 new Âé¶¹´«Ã½ and their families annually, as well as execute programming to help Âé¶¹´«Ã½ feel welcomed and acclimated to campus.
